Internationally acclaimed South African performance poet, writer, workshop facilitator and program director Natalia Molebatsi has presented her work in South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Holland, and Italy, as well as for events such as An Evening with Alice Walker, and Urban Voices International Spoken Word Festivals to name a few. The Tembisa-born wordsmith is dedicated to speaking her truth to power through her poetry and music, performing with Soul Making, a South African/Italian band of which she is a founding member. Molebatsi has published a book of poetry, Sardo Dance (2009), as well as compiled and edited We Are. . . A Poetry Anthology (2008). Further publications include articles for Agenda Feminist Media, Rhodes Journalism Review, Muziki, and Scrutiny 2.
