If you are a UCI faculty member or student group and interested in submitting a proposal
for an Illuminations-funded project or event, the Request for Proposals for 2017-18 are due January 31, 2017. Funding levels will normally range from $500 to $3,000. All proposals must be submitted by a faculty PI, but we encourage partnerships with students groups or student support units. Funded events must be managed by the initiating unit; Illuminations will advise in planning and assist in publicity.
If you are organizing an event in 2016 or 2017 and would like Illuminations to publicize the event (but do not need funding), please contact Julia Lupton (email@example.com) and Debbie Nielsen (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you represent a regional arts insitution
and would like to partner with Illuminations, please contact Julia Lupton (email@example.com) and Debbie Nielsen (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Guidelines for Illuminations events and co-sponsorships:
1) A UCI faculty member must initiate the proposal and take the lead in insuring its success.
2) UCI undergraduates must be the main audience.
3) Event must have a clear arts and culture component.
3) Event must be free to UCI undergraduates.
Illuminations partners can include:
UCI faculty from all academic schools and programs
UCI student groups
UCI offices and services that support undergraduates
Regional arts institutions
For events held at UCI, there must be a UCI faculty member responsible for the project.
