Imagining the Adversary: The Fiction Writer's Toolkit for Argument

Imagining the Adversary: The Fiction Writer's Toolkit for Argument

Brendon Park, Writing Specialist, Center for Excellence in Writing & Communication

Arguments about important issues are rarely just two-sided.  In this workshop, writing and communication specialist Brendon Park introduces us to the nuances of multi-sided arguments and debates.

This workshop series provides students with a unique opportunity to develop skills and ways of thinking about debate, argument, and persuasion in contemporary society.  Each expert workshop presenter and facilitator focuses on a particular aspect of debate, from effective listening to considering multiple viewpoints.  Join us for an interactive learning experience to help you consider how you might become more persuasive and argue more effectively!  Pizza and light refreshments will be served following each workshop.
